Hello and welcome to Recall Flyball Club.
First just a little bit about the Club. The Recall Flyball Club was started in July 2015 by Chris and Kev Reilly who moved to Wincanton from London. They have been involved in the Flyball world for eight years and wanted to carry on the sport that they love with their dogs here in Somerset.
We are a friendly club and are always happy to see new people and their dogs coming along to join us and we hope we make you feel welcome. We try to give as much time as possible to each individual owner and their dog at training, but if you feel there is anything you would like to know just ask. We are here to help both you and your dog enjoy Flyball. We have very few ‘rules’ to speak of (apart from the official Flyball Association BFA) but these few we must stick to and these are:
- Owners must clear up after their dogs and take it home with them.
- When not running your dog please keep your dog on a lead at all times, having loose dogs causes the other dogs to lose concentration and they would much rather ‘play’ than work.
When training outside we try to have playtime for the dogs afterwards. Our main outside ground is at the Somerset & Dorset Animal Rescue Centre in Common Road, Wincanton. We try to help the Rescue as much as possible so if you have anything you could donate to them just bring it along and we will pass it on. They always need clothes, books, blankets, quilts, food donations etc for the animals in the Rescue and also items for their shop in Sherborne.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask us.
We hope you enjoy being part of Recall Flyball Club.
